サンフランシスコで週末に盛大に開かれているチェリーブロッサムフェスティバル。イベントを紹介します。
“かるたの語り部”、伊藤孝男氏講演会
さつき会主催“かるたの語り部”、伊藤孝男氏による日米文化交流講演会が
日時：4月19日（土）午後3時半から5時半まで
入場無料（どなたでも参加できます）
場所：ホテル・カブキ内インペリアル・ルーム
で開催される。
愛知県かるた協会会長でもある伊藤氏は、語り部として県内、県外、そしてタイへも赴き、年間40回もの講演会を通して、人々に百人一首の魅力を伝えている。今回は『百人一首と日本人』と題し、百首から数首を選び、作者の思いを通して日本人とは？を語る。
1986年の第1回全国選抜競技かるた大会優勝者の伊藤氏は、全日本かるた協会の公認読手でもあり、多くのかるた大会で読手を務めている。
伊藤氏の訪米は今回が2度目で、講演会には通訳が付く。
また、19日と20日の午前11時から午後3時まで、JCCCNCのクラスルーム１で、伊藤氏によるかるた取りの実演と指導がある。誰でも参加できる。
A lecture by “An Orator of Karuta”, Mr. Takao Ito
Satsuki-kai hosts a lecture of “The Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets and The Japanese" by Mr. Takao Ito. It will be held on April 19, 2014, 15:30-17:30 at Imperial Room, Hotel Kabuki.
Mr. Ito is an Orator of “Karuta” or “The Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets” which is a Japanese Classical Poetry Card Game.
The One Hundred Poems (Tanka or Waka in Japanese) were selected by Fujiwara-no-Teika in the 13th century and incorporated with a card game in the 16th century. A reader will recite the first 3 lines of a poem and the players will compete to pick out the card that contains the last 2 lines.
He is also the president of Aichi-ken Karuta Association and has given about 40 lectures a year in Aichi-ken, other parts of Japan and Thailand, attracting people to “Karuta”.
He was the winner of the first National Selected Karuta Tournament in
1986. He is an official reciter of the All Japan Karuta Association and recites the One Hundred Poems for various Karuta tournaments.
This is his second visit to San Francisco. There will be an interpreter.
He and the Karuta-kai members will teach and demonstrate the Karuta game on April 19 and 20, 11:00-15:00 at JCCCNC classroom one. All are welcome.
